Jesus refers to himself multiple times as "the bread of life". He says in John 6:35, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” Jesus fulfills our every need. The world can never satisfy us, only Jesus can.

Jesus uses bread in the bible in other significant ways, including feeding 5,000+ people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Another significant use of bread is communion, where he tells us bread signifies his body, that he has laid down for us. During the lords prayer, Jesus says, "Give us this day our daily bread", meaning the Lord gives us what is necessarily to live, and spread his name.
